Why is Tuesday the best day of the week? Because at Borracha Mexican Cantina, it’s the beautiful day when tacos, tequila, and margaritas are united in delicious unlimited three-part harmony via our legendary Tacos and Tequila special. Every Tuesday, you can score unlimited tacos, tequila, and margaritas for just $24 per person.

While the special alone is probably sufficient to put you in a party mood, we up the ante by offering amazing music with a live DJ after 7pm. To help you get in the mood for the next Tacos and Tequila extravaganza, we’ve put together the Ultimate Taco Tuesday Playlist for your listening pleasure. Featuring a mix of current pop, oldies, and classics, every track is bound to bring you further into a #fiestaforever state of mind.

1. “Tequila” by the Champs

Given the fact that Libre’s Taco Tuesday special features unlimited tequila, it would be a crime to not include this classic song. Even if you don’t know it by name, you’ve heard this song before: an energetic brassy instrumental punctuated with a jubilant call of “tequila!”. It’s the perfect song to get you ready for both tacos and tequila!

2. “Putting on the Ritz” by Taco

True: this band’s name alone might warrant them scoring a place on this playlist. However, “Putting on the Ritz” is such a joyfully kitschy 80’s tune about dressing and looking good on the town that you can’t help but feel good when you listen to it. It’s guaranteed to get you in a festive state of mind.

3. “Margaritaville” by Jimmy Buffett

There’s no way that any self-respecting Taco Tuesday playlist could omit this classic song. An upbeat ditty with humorous lyrics about “that frozen concoction that helps me hang on”, it’s arguably the most famous tribute to the margarita, and tons of fun to sing along with.

4. “Spice Up Your Life” by the Spice Girls

Don’t worry, you’re not the only one who remembers all the words. Regardless of whether you prefer Posh or Sporty Spice, this upbeat song is bound to bring back all sorts of awesome 90s flashbacks as you enjoy unlimited tacos.

5. “Some Like it Hot” by The Power Station

As the refrain goes, “some like it hot and some sweat when the heat is on / some feel the heat and decide that they can’t go on”. But not you, friend! You love feeling the heat as you shake just a little bit more hot sauce onto your tacos. Let this song be your anthem.

6. “Raise Your Glass” by Pink

This jubilant party song is a perfect addition to the Ultimate Taco Tuesday playlist. The defiant yet fun lyrics urge you to celebrate whether things are very good, very bad, or everywhere in between. You’ll definitely want to raise your glass to this song.

7. “Smooth” by Santana and Rob Thomas

It’s impossible not to get into a tequila state of mind while listening to this, well, smooth jam. Featuring a seductive hook from the horn section, this song is made for chilling out and indulging in tacos, tequila, and margaritas.

8. “Mexican Radio” by Wall of Voodoo

This oddball song from the 80s is silly, but also catchy as all get-out. You may find yourself laughing at the warbling sound of the singer’s voice at first, but by the end of the song you’ll be singing along to the joyful refrain between sips of your margarita.

9. “Hot Hot Hot” by Buster Poindexter

Remember this song? It’s hard to resist dancing around like you’re in a conga line when this catchy song comes on, particularly after a little tequila. It’s undoubtedly going to get you feeling all hot-hot-hot for another round and another taco or two!

10. “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off” by Joe Nichols

If the name of the song didn’t make you love it, the music and lyrics will. This witty ditty’s lyrics basically speak for themselves: “ I told her put an extra layer on / I know what happens when she drinks patron / Her closets missin’ half the things she bought / Yea, Tequila makes her clothes fall off”. It’s a funny and tongue in cheek addition to your Taco Tuesday playlist!

11. Anything by the band Metalachi

This band specializes in playing metal music covers in a mariachi style. When played in a mariachi style, you’ll find that an incredible amount of songs become quite Taco Tuesday friendly, from “Crazy Train” to “Sweet Child O’ Mine”. Be sure to add them to your Taco Tuesday playlist for a playful twist.

Be sure to join us every Tuesday at Borracha for an inimitable Mexican Restaurant Las Vegas experience as we share our incredible Tacos and Tequila special for just $24 per person!
