Everyone loves Mexican food. With its satisfying mixture of textures and flavors and vibrant spices, it offers a taste sensation unlike any other cuisine.

But when it comes to seeking out quality Mexican fare, what type of establishment are people drawn to? Are there indeed certain elements that can help make a restaurant great? Classic Mexican dishes

When you ask most people what their favorite Mexican dish is, most will respond with classic dishes, such as tacos, burritos, carnitas, or fajitas. They’re classics for a reason: they’re delicious, and people love them!

As such, it’s vital for a Mexican restaurant to offer a strong roster of classic dishes such as these. Truthfully, if a restaurant can’t execute classic Mexican dishes, what does that say about more creative or fusion-type options offered on the menu?

At Borracha, we have a strong roster of your favorite classic Mexican dishes. Starting on the appetizer menu, we have Guacamole (made with avocado, garlic, lime cilantro, cotija cheese, and served with chips or veggies), Nachos (made with jalapeno cheese sauce, pico de gallo, arbol salsa, sour cream, pickled red onions and jalapenos); we also have an entire section of the menu dedicated to tacos, both street and traditional style; burritos, enchiladas, fajitas also have their own ample real estate on the menu, as well.

Creative Mexican Cuisine Options

While classic Mexican dishes are vital to the menu, it’s also nice to be able to veer into creative territory once in a while. Some customers just want to try something new; others might have dietary restrictions that prevent them from enjoying some of the classic dishes.

At Borracha, in addition to the classics, we also have plenty of creative twists on Mexican cuisine. For those who love the traditional favorites but want to try a different flavor, they can try our Mini Crab Ceviche Tacos (made with king crab, pickled cucumbers, and ceviche sauce) or Crispy Dynamite Shrimp Tacos (made with coconut shrimp, jicama shells, tomatillo avocado cream sauce, sriracha sauce, pickled red onion); our BBQ Chicken Tamale Cakes are another creative option (prepared with pickled red onion, poblano creme, and cilantro).

Healthier options. Sometimes, you just want to keep things light

For diners who are trying to keep it healthy, Borracha offers plenty of lighter options. Our elegant Roasted Summer Corn Salad, for instance, is made with grilled corn, cotija cheese, cherry tomatoes, panela cheese, black beans, pickled red onion, red bell pepper, jicama, and cotija cheese vinaigrette.

Our Brown Rice Bowls are another great option for diners who are looking to keep their dinner nutritious. These bowls come with brown rice, grilled corn, black beans, guacamole, cherry tomato pico, Gochujang sauce, bean sprouts, coleslaw dressing, and your choice of protein: chicken, mahi mahi, carne asada, or tofu.

Amazing specials

Everyone loves a bargain. At Borracha, there are plenty of ways to enjoy our cuisine at amazing prices thanks to regular specials. Here are just a few:

  • Happy Hour is offered Monday through Friday from 4-6 pm, with great food and drink specials.
  • Margarita Club! At Borracha, if you buy 5 Margaritas, your 6th is free!
  • $9 Lunch Combo: 2 tacos, steak or chicken, served with rice and beans. Noon-4pm, Saturday and sunday.
